How this site works

This site is a pile of plain files. There is no database, no login on this side, and nothing that runs when you load a page except a small script that draws the feeds.

The feeds

A scheduled job reads public RSS and Atom feeds every 30 minutes. It keeps only the title, the link and the time, writes them to small JSON files, and the page shows the newest few. Every headline links back to the original publisher.

The threat level

The threat bar is a rough guide. It counts how many vulnerabilities were added to the public known-exploited catalog in the last seven days and maps that count to a level. It says nothing about this site and it is not a prediction.

Staying quiet

  • No trackers and no cookies
  • A strict content security policy, so only files from this site can run
  • Feed text is always drawn as plain text, never as markup

Release Radar

The radar lists the newest stable releases of a handful of open-source projects, pulled from their public release feeds. Nothing on it is typed by hand.
